Corrie Silvers, Owner and Party Planner
Corrie exudes kindness and radiates positive energy. She easily develops solid relationships with her clients, colleagues and vendors with her charm, talent, youthful energy and enthusiasm for planning events. Often accused of being a perfectionist, she channels her fancy for perfection into everything she does from event logistics to design. She is obsessed with details and believes that details are what turn ordinary events into extraordinary. Corrie has an innate ability to understand and relate to her clients needs, goals, objectives and vision. She is a small town girl at heart with the experience and drive of a big city entrepreneur. Graduating from Morehead State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1996, Corrie has over 16 years of experience working with children. She has worked as a Family Life Director with the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati, as a Match Services Director with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Carolina Youth Development Center and as a professional nanny. She is an avid supporter of local charities and youth organizations and also volunteers at MUSC Children’s hospital, providing her themed parties to children who most deserve it.
Corrie was also nominated and chosen to be a member of Charleston’s 40 Under 40 class of 2012, but her greatest reward, however, is being a mommy!
Faith Hawkins, Design Coordinator, Face Painter
Faith has a passion for planning and designing events of all types! She joined the Teacups and Trucks team in the Fall of 2009 as a party hostess and has since moved on to her current role as a Design Assistant. Faith lends her talent from a resourceful side with a unique flair for visual concept. She uses her understanding of the big picture and knack for taking ordinary items or concepts and turning them into works of art. Clients are drawn to her calming demeanor and her attention to detail, making her a true asset to any event. Faith was born and reared in Charleston, SC and has an extensive background working and volunteering with children and various charitable organizations. She is also our premier/resident face painter and has been employed with Charleston County School District for the past four years. Faith is a very integral part of the team because of her keen eye for design and her relentless effort to make sure every event looks and runs perfectly!
Patrice Clayton, Programs and Events Director
Patrice began working for Teacups and Trucks in the Fall of 2009. Her genuine character and willingness to go the extra mile is what sets her apart! She has over 13 years of experience educating and caring for children. Patrice received her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the College of Charleston. She is also a certified Kids Yoga Instructor and a member of the NAEYC. She is in charge of planning all of our children’s programs, including camps, festivals and birthday parties. Patrice is also the proud mother of one 13 year old girl that keeps her on her toes!
Juvilyn Johnson, Party Hostess, Crafter Extraordinaire
Juvi has a love for all things paper and crafting! Her bubbly and friendly personality puts a smile on everyone’s face and always lights up the room. She is extremely creative and always up for a challenge. She is the mother of 3 amazing kids and enjoys spending as much time with them as possible. If she’s not crafting, Juvi enjoys extreme-couponing!
Kayla Haney, Marketing & Administrative Assistant, Party Hostess
Kayla has been part of Teacups and Trucks since September 2013. She graduated from Morehead State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. With knowledge and expertise in Public Relations, Kayla assists with social media and marketing strategies for Teacups and Trucks. She also helps with administrative duties and works closely with computer related assignments. Kayla played Division One Softball in college, enjoys the beach, going out to eat, crafting, and working with children. She is expecting her first baby (GIRL!) in April 2018.
